About Me
About me
Mr. Fahd Bin Abdul Hasis has been working as a Scientist/Engineer at the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre of the Indian Space Research Organization since 2017. He completed his bachelors in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology and joined LPSC in August 2017. He is pursuing his PhD in Rotordynamics at his alma mater alongside his regular responsibilities. During his short stint at ISRO, he has made substantial contributions to the design and testing of cryogenic turbopump sealing systems (refer to research publications). His research interests are often pursued in the unique and state-of-the-art Turbopump Bearing and Seal Lab at LPSC. A multi-faceted personality, his interests span a wide area of research, including tribology, rotordynamics, propulsion, launch vehicle configuration design, and virtual/augmented reality. He has numerous publications to his credit and is a life member of the Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT) and the Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE). Although he is a researcher and engineer by daytime, his nights are driven by a strong passion for astronomy & astrophotography, which he pursues as a hobby in parallel to his professional life. Mr. Hasis adores introducing young tots to this field and often delivers lectures and live astronomy sessions in public outreach programs.
